Book
Group
Our book group meets about every eight
weeks. We all bring food and have dinner together,
then talk about a book we’ve been reading. It’s not a place
where we read Christian books but a chance for us to read a
book and bring our Christian mind and worldview to
it. After all, if your Christian mind is active, you
should be able to wrap it around any bit of our culture – a
book, a film, a TV programme, whatever.
The
books we’ve read have taken us from Edinburgh to
Afghanistan, the far east and Africa.
We've roamed far and wide in place and gone
back in time to the 19th
century.

Our next book will
be
The Year Of Living
Biblically
by
A. J. Jacobs, a New York
journalist who decided to spend
a year doing everything the
Bible instructed him to. The
book is funny, but also very
thoughtful, and will make us
all think about what we mean
when we say that we take the
Bible
seriously. We
next meet on September
6th.

on edition/publication
